When Your Tenant Moves Out, It's Time for Some Actions
What about security deposit?
When you move out, a thorough inspection will be done to check whether there are some things that require repair or maintenance. This is a sort of protocol when moving is done. If there are serious damages and parts of the house that needs to be repaired, then the costs and expenses will be deducted from your security deposit.
If you have rented fully-furnished apartment, then the furniture items will also be inspected. The carpets are too dirty and smelly, then, deep cleaning should be done. If cleaning is not enough and replacement is needed, then the costs of the carpet will be taken from the security deposit as well.
Obviously, a broken window due to tenant's negligence is another cost to be deducted from the deposit. If the tenant ruins the wall painting by hanging or made the paint comes off, then it would be another cost to handle. Anything that is broken due to tenant's actions will be all deducted from the security deposit. Some landlords ask other kinds of deposits apart from the security deposit to oblige the tenant to be responsible enough to take care of all the things entrusted to him when he moved in the place.
