Tips on How to Make Your Move Hassle Free

A new home is synonymous to a start of a new life. However, most people tend to view the transition to a new home as a source of stress and pressure due to the tiring processes that a move requires. To prevent experiencing too much hassle and fatigue during the move, you have to make sure that everything is organized and systematized. Here are some tips that can help you make your move a smooth and easy transition.
-

Start moving early.
The key to a successful move is to start packing your things early. Last minute preparations will never be okay and they tend to jeopardize the whole moving process. Bring all the items that you need and discard the ones that you do not use anymore. Start by packing one room at a time.
It is also important for you to prepare all the packing items that you need. Make sure that you have sufficient supplies of boxes, tapes, and markers. You can also choose to recycle packing materials such as old boxes and cardboard packages. You may need to buy some sheets of bubble wrap to cushion delicate items. However, if your budget is too stiff, then you can always choose to use newspaper or magazines.  Start by packing small items such as picture frames, clocks, and glass ware.

Create a time table and stick to the schedule.
Staying organized will guarantee that your move will go on as planned. Adopting an organized demeanor will also enable you to keep the moving process as fast as possible. In order to do this, it is recommended to create a time table. Budget your time accordingly and make sure that you have included all the tasks that you need to do. If you are done packing up your things, do not tape the boxes yet for you might miss some things that are to be included in the package.

Packing up electronics and china ware
Electronics such as TV, laptops, refrigerators, home theater systems and other items should be packed in their original boxes. If their original boxes are already discarded, then you should find a box which fits their sizes accordingly. Cushion the surfaces and the delicate parts with newspaper of bubble wrap. If possible, put boxed electronic items in a bigger box for easier transportation. However, you should make sure that each box weighs no more than 50 pounds.
DVD and CD players should be checked first before you pack them. Make sure that there are no more discs inside these units. It will also be helpful if you can label every wire, plug, and chargers of your electronics for easy identification and assembly.
For more fragile items such as glassware, chinaware, and silverware, you have to make sure that you have enough cushions. Bubble wrap is the best option but you can always use newspaper. Layer the box with a sturdy material such a sheet of cardboard or a plank of wood. Do not make the boxes too heavy to avoid slippage and breakage.
